Conditions for tandem skydiving

*A number of things can influencewhether it will be possible to go through with thejump.

• The maximum weight due to safety reasons is 105kg
• Under 18? Then you need permission from parent or guardian 
• No age limit. Only limitation is the size of the harness. If you weigh 35 kg or less there is a risk that you wont fit inside the harness and it will be a pure evaluation from the tandem instruktor, whether it would be possible or not.
• Do you suffer from serious illness that can and/or will have an influence on your motions such as eg. cerebral palsy, it will again be an individuel acescent from the tandem instructor on whether the jump can happen or not. Contact out tandem coordinator for more information.

How does it work with a tandem skydive?

Preparation before the jump:

On the day of your jump you will arrive, just shortly before your schedule time slot, at Skive Airport, Lufthavnsvej 10 7840, here you will be approached by one of our members. Make sure you bring decent clothes, good and closed footwear and generally clothes suited for the weather. If you have any questions about clothes, please contact us! You will be getting a jump suit to wear on top of your clothes. The tandem instruktor will give you information about the equipment and safety and here you will also be learning how you get out of the plane, about the free fall and how to land. The instructor is an experienced skydiver who has taken a special course to do the tandem jumps. The intro takes 20-30 minutes and then you are ready to jump!

The jump and the free fall:

The plane ride takes 20-25 min and takes you to 3-4km where you will be jumping from. In the plane the tandem instruktor will make the final preparations and connect the two of you completely, In the meantime you can enjoy the view over Skive and the surrounding area. Once the free fall is over and the instructor deploys the parachute at 1500 meters, then you can talk together again. If you want you will get the chance to try an control the parachute. After 5-6 minutes you will be back close to the ground and ready to make a soft and safe landing.

Video of your jump:

Most people choose to have their tandem jump filmed! It is a once in a lifetime experience for most people, so it would be nice to have a video to show and share with friends and family! We use a 3rd person who jumps with you to make the video and then he cuts it all together and send the video and potentially also pictures to you.

Are you up for more than one jump?

If you are up for more, you can challenge yourself further by taking a solo jump. Under solo you can read more about that option. You will be jumping out alone from the very first jump after an extensive education of 4-5 hours, where you will learn how and what to do. Our members and instructors are always ready to answer any questions you might have.
